As a Contract Close Out Specialist, you will work within a team comprised of blind and low vision personnel, contributing to the mission of creating and enhancing opportunities for independence and self-sufficiency. This role involves participating in the start-up operation of Contract Management Services (CMS) and performing day-to-day operations alongside legally blind employees who prepare government contracts for close-out. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the completion of the contract close-out process in accordance with standard operating procedures, maintaining accountability of documents, and liaising with agencies and contractors to gather necessary payment and delivery histories. You will also be responsible for preparing closeout documents for review by contracting officers, completing reports to track metrics, and providing customer service to contracting officers regarding the folders presented for close-out. Additionally, you will assist in improving existing standard operating procedures to enhance productivity and may be assigned other duties as needed. This position is integral to the Lighthouse's mission of empowering individuals with disabilities through employment.
