About The Position

As a Contract Barista (Part-Time), you will be responsible for crafting and serving high-quality coffee beverages, providing excellent customer service, and contributing to the vibrant atmosphere that fuels our workplace. Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Barista in a high-volume, fast-paced environment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, and equipment.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with a positive and energetic attitude.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30-50 pounds
  • Health and safety compliance in food handling and preparation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with La Marzocco's models is a plus - this will be the machine provided and used.

Responsibilities

  • Expertly prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold coffee and tea beverages, including but not limited to, espresso, cappuccino, lattes, and brewed coffee and tea.
  • Follow recipes and guidelines for beverage preparation to ensure consistency.
  • Consistently maintain the highest standards of quality in coffee preparation and presentation.
  • Greet and assist teammates and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take and accurately process beverage orders using a point-of-sale system, ensuring personalized preferences are met.
  • Provide recommendations on beverage selections and any additional offerings based on each individuals preferences.
  • Operate coffee-making equipment efficiently to maintain a smooth and quick service pace.
  • Manage multiple orders simultaneously, maintaining a high level of accuracy and speed during peak hours.
  • Keep the coffee preparation area clean, organized, and well-stocked.
  • Regularly clean coffee machines and schedule routine maintenance according to the recommendations made by the machine manufacturer.
  • Have a constant awareness of consumable and non-consumable supply inventory and order as needed.
  • Work closely with other team members and departments to coordinate coffee services for meetings, events, and special occasions.
  • Collaborate with others to enhance the overall workplace experience through coffee offerings.
  • Stay informed about the coffee varieties, brewing techniques, and flavor profiles to provide insightful information to co-workers and guests.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of the coffee industry and trends.
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback to make continuous improvements to the coffee service.
  • Address concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally.
