About The Position

Spectra Logic Corporation is a global leader in data management, data protection and data storage technology, providing compelling solutions that preserve, protect and defend data at scale. With its focus on data storage innovation for more than 40 years, we are expanding our reach from storage infrastructure to cloud integrated data management. We are seeking an experienced attorney to support our legal and business teams with contract review and negotiation, drafting internal policies and procedures, and contract management. This role is ideal for a self-directed attorney who is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, commercial environment and partnering with business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial contracts, either in-house, at a law firm, or both
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives
  • Experience drafting or advising on internal policies and procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management and legal operations processes is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including customer agreements, vendor agreements, NDAs, and related documents
  • Assist with the development, revision, and maintenance of company policies and procedures, including operational, compliance, and internal governance documents
  • Support contract management activities, including intake, issue-spotting, risk assessment, redlining, and tracking contract status and key terms
  • Provide practical, business-oriented legal guidance to internal stakeholders
  • Help standardize templates and contract processes to improve efficiency and consistency
  • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., sales, procurement, operations) as needed on contract-related matters
