About The Position

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and manages policy for contract duties in support of large scope, high-dollar or high-risk contracts.
  • Ensures compliance with policies, laws, and acceptable contracting practices.
  • Monitors progress, financial expenditures, and inspects final results of contracts.
  • Develops and implements management controls and oversight procedures.
  • Prepares contracts and awards new contracts based on defined requirements.
  • Monitors contract performance and develops key metrics for tracking.
  • Coordinates training for new professional and/or technical contract staff.
  • Facilitates analysis and interpretation of legislation and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Develops procurement documents, change orders, and acceptance testing procedures.
  • Serves as a lead worker and resource for complex questions among TxDOT employees.
