About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Continuous Vetting (CV) Senior Operations Manager is for oversight of management level employees to improve quality, timeliness and efficiency throughout the Continuous Vetting process. This position supports the Case Processing Operation Center (CPOC) within our Defense and Intel Operating Group.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in education and experience in lieu of a degree
  • Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of managerial or supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated Continuous Vetting functional experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a client-focused demeanor
  • May be required to perform duties beyond standard business hours.
  • Effectively communicate with team members both written and verbal.
  • US Citizenship, due to nature of work performed and contract requirement.
  • Must pass a government background investigation.
  • Work will be performed on-site in Iron Mountain, Boyers, PA (remote work may be possible with manager approval).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in the Government services industry is preferred.
  • Physical activities requiring reaching, bending, kneeling, stooping, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling repetitive motion, walking and standing.

Responsibilities

  • Management and oversight of processes associated with all background investigations to ensure timeliness and quality
  • Effectively monitor and manage costs associated with function of department
  • Recruiting and selecting staff/resources (includes managers, team leaders, and various other positions)
  • Design and development of training initiatives and efficiency improvements
  • Oversight of workload management
  • Performance management initiatives
  • Practice good business acumen
  • Effective negotiating and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills to handle the diverse functions of the position
  • Leadership development and succession planning
  • Quality of processes is satisfactory to meet customer standards
  • Timeliness is met on all processes
  • Provide a timely response and resolution to all employee/customer concerns; the ability to identify and resolve conflicts and employee issues in a positive manner
  • Measurable efficiency gains and process improvements
  • Management feedback
  • Timely completion of administrative requirements
