About The Position

The TPM Continuous Improvement Engineer/Manager will drive the successful deployment of the Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM) strategy throughout the Supply Chain network. The role is accountable for identifying, designing, and implementing strategies to improve efficiency, reduce waste and enhance overall operational performance of the Plant by deploying appropriate TPM methodology with the focus on Autonomous Maintenance/Leadership/Focused Improvement and developing improvement programs across all facilities, while monitoring and reporting progress. She/he will work closely with plant steering teams, operations managers and functional leaders to drive loss elimination across TPM pillars.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field (associates degree with related certifications also considered).
  • 3-5 years progressive technical experience in engineering, process improvement, or related role in a manufacturing environment (food processing preferred).
  • TPM (JIPM) certification, Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt) highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for influencing and motivating others.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Advanced computer literacy skills. Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Organizational change leadership/ADKAR expertise, project management and governance skills.
  • Able to navigate RPC Information Systems and leverage systems information.
  • Coaching, Facilitation and Teambuilding Skills.
  • Communication & Presentation Skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the plant leadership in expanding the implementation of Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM) principles and Lean-Six Sigma capability tools.
  • Evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities for quality or efficiency improvement, as well as cost-savings measures.
  • Drive a culture of Lean and other continuous improvement methodologies across teams towards world class standards.
  • Initiate the continuous TPM Site Phase progression within all TPM Pillars at the sites this role supports.
  • Execute zero loss analysis and results across lines, track results.
  • Understand and experience with PowerBi Analytics.
  • Knowledge in TEEP & OEE reports to understand capacity constraints and help reduce losses.
  • Lead and facilitate continuous improvement team with activities/initiatives including development of and proficiency of Plant TPM standards and capability builds.
  • Initiate ROCS projects (Plant cost saving projects) with a goal of 2x base salary.
  • Monitor plants' ongoing adherence to TPM processes, results against targets, respond to any shortfalls through training, coaching escalation, etc.
  • Train and coach plant associates in TPM processes and systems.
  • Provide planning, facilitation, and governance of CI projects and initiatives.
  • Establish KPIs, track progress toward improvement goals, and work with team on projects and initiatives to improve metrics.
  • Prepare and present reports on project outcomes, cost savings, and operational efficiency improvements to senior leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned by Plant Manager.
