About The Position
The Continuous Improvement Specialist at Lakeview Farms LLC is a pivotal role focused on enhancing operational efficiency and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment. This position requires a highly competent process manager who utilizes a diverse skill set, including project design, leadership, and management, to ensure performance and process development. The specialist will be responsible for implementing principles of continuous improvement to foster operational excellence across various sites. This role involves planning, scheduling, and executing continuous improvement activities, such as Kaizen, directly on the production floor. In this capacity, the Continuous Improvement Specialist will lead the phased rollout of new continuous improvement processes at each site, ensuring that organizational plans are developed to facilitate the completion of new CI work. The specialist will create comprehensive training materials aimed at educating Continuous Improvement Leaders (CIL) and Department Heads (DH) on the new processes. As a change agent, the specialist will inspire and energize team members to embrace change, conducting effective training sessions and developing visual aids for operators on the production floor. Monitoring compliance against established standards for systems and processes is a critical responsibility, as is conducting regular “health checks” of processes and tools. The specialist will coach, teach, and mentor system owners, developing a robust CIL training program that includes a thorough analysis of training needs and instructional methods. Additionally, measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of training and retention methods will be essential to ensure continuous improvement initiatives are successful and sustainable.
