About The Position

We are currently looking for a Continuous Improvement Specialist who will be responsible for enhancing manufacturing and production processes using Lean Manufacturing and other improvement concepts. The Continuous Improvement Specialist will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and implementing process improvement initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of lean principles, management experience, problem-solving techniques, and a passion for continuous improvement. This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Experience in process improvement, project management, or operational excellence.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of lean principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong work ethic, action oriented, with a track record for delivering to plan.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and prioritize tasks

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate kaizen activities, workshops, training sessions, and coaching on continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and encourage employee engagement in process enhancements.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor progress toward improvement goals.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements at all levels of the organization.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify root causes of issues and develop solutions using lean principles.
  • Implement process changes and monitor results to ensure effectiveness and sustainability.
  • Utilize problem solving tools such as root cause analysis, 5S, and visual management to improve processes.
  • Train and coach employees on continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvement projects.
  • Maintain and update process documentation and standard work instructions.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with established processes and identify areas for improvement.
