(Make Your Mark!) What you’ll do: Create a Continuous Improvement vision based on the Operational Excellence Assessment stages and Hoshin Kanri objectives. Implement the regional CI strategy/system to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Cost. Reduce forms of waste in both manufacturing processes and transactional processes that support production. Lead and develop a Kaizen schedule to improve CI culture and SQPDIC objectives of the plant. Utilize influencing skills and listening to drive ownership and change. Partner with the Plant Manager to drive the Continuous Improvement agenda at all levels of the plant. Facilitate CI Council, to validate the effectiveness of Kaizen of the overall continuous improvement agenda, including, problem-solving countermeasures (A1’s), Kaizen, and Daily Management to close the gap to burning platform targets Act as a change agent utilizing facts at the Gemba to drive advice and counsel to leaders and teams on issues impacting SQPDIC targets. Own the local training and development of non-desk workers, desk workers, and staff leaders. Leveraging the CI training portfolio including, Introduction to CI, CI Coach, CI Practitioner, and CI Leadership material including the principles of respect for people, setting high expectations, go-and-see, and having a drive for action, etc. Lean tools include Gemba walks, Value Stream Mapping, TPM, Standard Work, Setup Reduction, Visual Management, Pull Systems, Error Proofing, etc. Encourage the use of CI tools and CI behaviors and promote Lean Six Sigma integration utilizing the strength of both methods to close the gap to plant targets. Drive Industry 4.0 or Digital platform solutions that enhance the continuous improvement agenda, and efforts, and enable efficiency and effectiveness of results. Bring new ideas, motivation, and positive support to all levels of the team

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 - 5 years of successful leadership in executing continuous improvement/Lean/Six Sigma efforts and enabling efficiency, and effectiveness resulting in demonstrable tangible financial benefit
  • Facilitated or participated in at least 3 separate week-long kaizen events while performing proper preparation and follow-up.
  • CI Practitioner or Greenbelt Certification as minimum
  • Demonstrated experience with ensuring effective daily management enabling factory execution.
  • Demonstrated successful digital platform implementation to support plant performance.
