About The Position

The Continuous Improvement Specialist is responsible for facilitating continuous improvement initiatives within the organization, focusing on enhancing manufacturing and technology processes. This role involves leading teams through improvement events, applying structured process improvement techniques, and aligning company goals with operational plans to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction. The position also includes responsibilities related to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) strategies, aiming for VPP certification at the Spring facility.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in operations, manufacturing, or quality.
  • Ability to partner with and influence senior level leadership.
  • Ability to access sublevel pressure test cells for CI improvement assessments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in health, safety, and environmental management systems.
  • Familiarity with VPP certification processes.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate continuous improvement work sessions and lead teams through rapid improvement events.
  • Execute analytical approaches and apply structured process improvement techniques to enhance manufacturing and technology processes.
  • Establish and sustain improvement processes supporting frontline leaders and their work groups.
  • Lead small teams to address local Hoshin projects or issues.
  • Align company strategy with manufacturing and technology plans to meet customer expectations.
  • Optimize processes using Lean fundamentals to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Support value-added idea generation at the work cell level to promote a Continuous Improvement culture.
  • Train groups to develop Continuous Improvement competencies and promote a Lean culture.
  • Lead the development and implementation of HSE strategies, policies, and procedures while applying CI principles.
  • Interface with leadership at all organizational levels to facilitate continuous HSE performance improvement.
