About The Position

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Project Manager to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Team in Concord, NC. This position reports to the Continuous Improvement Manager, implement/utilize/manage 'Lean' and Continuous Improvement principles/projects in manufacturing and administrative environments to improve productivity, quality and to meet or exceed cost objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree (Technical Field or Systems Engineering Preferred)
  • Three (3) years or more supporting 'Lean'/CI activities in a complex Manufacturing environment
  • Facilitation in a 'Lean'/CI Environment

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data, identify areas of opportunity, and target 'Lean' events to support department/plant goals.
  • Lead and facilitate Kaizen events.
  • Work with manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, productivity, capacity and flexibility across all departments.
  • Support/Improve the 'Visual Factory' in departments by incorporating management dashboards and visual indicators for 'Standard Work'.
  • Develop detailed cost estimates for new and modified products.
  • Establish & maintain manufacturing information including labor standards, routings, SWIs (as needed) and BOM corrections.
  • Manage new product launches at Concord including schedules, expenditures, and reporting.
  • Train various Legrand personnel on various lean tools and processes.
  • Manage and mentor in Concord's 'Supervisor-in-training' program.
  • Assist in developing work content for and mentoring our OLDPs.
  • Promote a strong culture of continuous improvement.
  • Performs other similar and related duties as required.
