About The Position

This position is focused on reducing costs and improving processes and operating efficiency utilizing various operational excellence principles. Acting as a change agent and coach, you will lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives across the enterprise and coach others in problem solving and continuous improvement methods. In this role you will identify improvement opportunities and support trained practitioners in the utilization of Lean and Six Sigma principles to lead and complete continuous improvement projects that result in sustained performance improvement. The successful candidate will have the ability to educate and motivate individuals at all levels of the organization and the ability to manage large scale projects to a successful and timely conclusion. This position will support all Ichor Systems business units and the role will require travel (up to 30%).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related technical field.
  • 3+ Years of direct experience in Lean and/or Six Sigma processes and their application to Continuous Improvement and Project management, preferably managing large-scale, cross-functional projects.
  • 5+ years in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Lean Certification preferred.
  • Project Management certification preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business unit and matrixed teams to diagnose and improve complex business and operational problems using structured improvement approach.
  • Lead projects with complex subject focus and solutions, ensuring solid measurement systems and data collection plans.
  • Lead, coach, and develop others in the use of LEAN/Six Sigma tools and methodologies for continuous improvement.
  • Plan and execute Continuous Improvement Workshops and Kaizen events to generate projects impacting the bottom line.
  • Coordinate improvement projects with stakeholders and other project teams to ensure consistent use of continuous improvement tools and methods.
  • Track project status and results, identify barriers, and develop team members.
  • Collaborate with Finance Representatives to ensure accurate identification and achievement of project benefits.
  • Provide necessary training and coaching to employees involved with Lean & Six Sigma projects, including developing and conducting training courses for various practitioner levels.
  • Develop and maintain methods and systems for tracking and measuring project goals and objectives, and implement solutions to address process deficiencies, reduce variation, and optimize performance.
