Continuous Improvement Manager
About The Position
Power Solutions International (PSI) is a leader in large gen-set packaging and enclosures. We provide turnkey, custom power packages that integrate alternators, cooling systems, controls, switchgear, cabling, and protection, delivered as containerized, skid, or walk-in solutions. Our team manages the full lifecycle from application engineering and 3D design to structural fabrication, wiring and piping, sound and thermal management, code compliance, factory acceptance testing, and site support. With scalable production capacity and disciplined program management, PSI delivers repeatable quality and reliable performance on complex builds for mission-critical and industrial applications worldwide. Summary: Reporting to the Director of Lean and Continuous Improvements, is responsible for leading and executing strategic operational excellence initiatives across the site. This role drives Lean transformation, structured problem-solving, cost reduction, and process standardization efforts to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity performance. The CI Manager partners cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality to identify improvement opportunities, implement sustainable solutions, and embed a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. This position provides leadership for Kaizen events, 5S, value stream optimization, root cause analysis, and change management initiatives aligned with business objectives. The role requires strong analytical capability, hands-on Lean expertise, and the ability to influence at all organizational levels to ensure measurable and sustained results
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 plus years leading continuous improvement initiatives
- Lean or Six Sigma Black Belt certification
Responsibilities
- Lead CI; drive culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Execute Lean initiatives (VSM, 5S, Kaizen, Standard Work) and cost reduction projects
- Apply structured problem-solving and root cause analysis
- Lead change management and align operations to strategic objectives
- Partner cross-functionally and leverage global best practices
- Deliver direct feedback and make tough decisions
- Translate strategy into results with urgency and follow-through
- Drive continuous improvement and manage change effectively
