Continuous Improvement Manager
About The Position
The Continuous Improvement Manager (CIM) is a highly visible position reporting to the Plant Manager. This individual will be responsible for facilitating continuous improvement and lean efforts, training, implementing, and sustaining improvement activities. Previous experience working in a lean or continuous improvement environment is a must. This individual will work directly with front line leadership and mill management to improve productivity, quality, and safety, and to implement standard work. They will oversee 5-S events, daily management system boards, and problem- solving teams.
Requirements
- Must have significant previous experience working with and implementing continuous improvement and lean principles.
- Must have a working knowledge of problem-solving techniques such as C4's.
- Must have previous experience with Kaizen events
- Must have previous experience with 5-S
- Must have previous experience with daily management systems
- Must have previous experience with job instruction training
- Must have previous experience facilitating improvements with line management
- Must have previous experience coaching
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but we will consider equivalent experience or combination of education and experience.
