About The Position

Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager at our South Bend, IN facility! This is an onsite position. The role is open to relocation throughout the United States, for those interested in moving to South Bend, IN. The expected annual salary range for this role is $93750.03 - $137500.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing / continuous improvement experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience leading project teams
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of Continuous Improvement (CI) within the South Bend facility.
  • Spearhead efforts to elevate organizational efficiency and effectiveness by driving and managing continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
  • Pinpoint areas for enhancement, conduct thorough process analyses, and devise strategies to streamline workflows, minimize waste, and boost overall performance using lean methodologies.
  • Champion Kaizen/Rapid Improvement Events to drive substantial improvements across the South Bend facility.
  • Utilize Eaton Continuous Improvement Systems (ECIS) tools to optimize processes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive continuous improvement roadmap tailored to the South Bend manufacturing environment.
  • Train and empower team members to effectively utilize ECIS tools.
  • Oversee the deployment and assessments of ECIS, ensuring successful implementation and integration.
  • Provide regular updates on continuous improvement status to the plant manager and staff, highlighting achievements and progress.
  • Actively involve employees in continuous improvement events, the Ideas Program, and 5S initiatives, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other areas of Operational Excellence, including EHS and EQMS, to drive comprehensive improvements.
  • Serve as a key member of the South Bend Leadership team, contributing to strategy, direction, and continuous improvement efforts.
