About The Position

The Continuous Improvement Manager - Beverages at Reily Foods Company is responsible for enhancing consumer experience through technical capability improvements while ensuring world-class quality and safety. This role involves leading formulation development, technology upgrades, and process improvements, as well as cross-functional collaboration to document and enhance product quality and process control. The manager will also oversee the commercialization process for new products and equipment, develop predictive technical models, and provide training to sustain talent and expertise within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in beverage manufacturing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related process engineering experience.
  • Strong background in beverage operations, particularly in coffee and tea products.
  • Experience with HACCP, OSHA, and BRC safety and quality standards, TPM, PM/PdM, HPO, CQV, commercialization, and technical readiness.
  • Ability to understand process capabilities using CpK, standard deviation, and % defect analysis.
  • Familiarity with process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and process narratives.
  • Experience in training, facilitation, and development of others.
  • Knowledge of processing equipment, methods, and basic manufacturing standard operating procedures.
  • Expertise in validation and effectiveness of new technologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with start-up management concepts and equipment commissioning, qualification, and verification.
  • Capable of understanding basic to mid-level financial reports.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure sufficient technical capability exists to deliver an improved consumer experience at an optimized price.
  • Lead formulation development, technology upgrades, and CQV of new products and equipment.
  • Implement process and packing improvements and identify specifications and centerlines.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to document current practices and develop improvements in product quality, cost, and process control.
  • Create specifications, standards, and standard operating procedures based on best practices.
  • Lead technical readiness for projects and influence the commercialization process from scoping to execution and closeout.
  • Oversee product release for new products and equipment qualifications.
  • Document transformations to increase overall beverage technical mastery and improve plant agility.
  • Develop and document technical training material for processing transformations.
  • Interface with customers to identify needs and create processes to exceed expectations.
  • Support new product initiatives by designing, writing, communicating, executing, and summarizing plant trials.
  • Monitor plant operating conditions and process parameters to maintain or improve product quality.
  • Provide troubleshooting support and make technical recommendations for process and packing issues.
  • Identify root causes of complex process failures and recommend cost-effective solutions.
  • Provide process engineering support for capital projects during all phases of execution.
  • Implement cost reduction initiatives through the Profit Enhancement Team (PET).
