As a Continuous Improvement Intern, you will play a key role in advancing efficiency, productivity, and quality across Marmon IEI. You’ll gain hands-on experience working directly with manufacturing processes, applying continuous improvement methodologies in a real-world setting, and making meaningful contributions to ongoing projects. In this role, you will collect and analyze data on processes, performance metrics, and operational efficiency to uncover trends and identify opportunities for improvement. You will create and update process documentation, including process maps, flowcharts, and standard operating procedures, while supporting initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S to streamline operations and reduce waste. You will participate in problem-solving sessions and root cause analyses, developing practical solutions to operational challenges. In addition, you will research industry best practices and emerging methodologies, provide recommendations for process enhancements, and assist in creating training materials to communicate changes and improvements across teams. Throughout the internship, you will gain valuable experience in lean manufacturing, process optimization, data analysis, and teamwork, all while contributing directly to projects that improve efficiency, quality, and productivity in the manufacturing environment.
