About The Position

As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you'll be part of our Mission team working as an on-site employee. You'll get to analyze production plans on a daily basis and coordinate resources to meet objectives and schedules in the production lines. You will facilitate kaizen events and other lean initiatives such as 5's, one-piece flow, standardized work, and Kanban. Utilizing knowledge of value stream analysis, project management, data collection and analysis, and development and implementation of process improvements to drive change is essential. You will perform workplace audits and streamline processes within your area of responsibility, provide training and coaching for project sponsors, leaders, and teammates on Lean leadership, and manage culture change through conflict resolution. You will lead project teams to deliver project cost, quality, and time objectives, report on project progress to process owners and other leadership levels, and monitor the completion of tasks to ensure good performance. Supporting the business in establishing 'best practice' and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards is also part of your role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience utilizing Lean Manufacturing initiatives in production.
  • Demonstrated track record in process improvement, conflict resolution, process design, and change management.
  • Ability to provide facilitation, group training, and presentations on Lean and DMAIC tools.
  • Ability to analyze complex manufacturing data and propose changes for efficiency and safety.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to implement goals with little supervision.
  • Multi-tasking skills to manage multiple projects.
