About The Position

Post Consumer Brands, headquartered in Lakeville, Minn., is dedicated to providing people and their pets with delicious food choices for every taste and budget. We are currently expanding our grocery business with different shelf-stable foods, including snacks and peanut butter, and are looking for passionate, driven individuals to join our team. This position is based in Northfield, Minn., where we have two manufacturing plants and over 750 team members.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in a Science or Engineering field (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Manufacturing).
  • Preference of 2+ years combined related work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with continuous improvement/Lean Six Sigma efforts preferred.
  • Strong analytical and business judgment including demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to influence, mentor, and coach to get results through others.

  • Deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Strong bias for action and ability to inspire others.
  • Experience in leading multi-functional work teams.

Responsibilities

  • Drive change through focused continuous improvement efforts to higher levels of performance in safety, quality, schedule adherence, cost, growth, and engagement.
  • Utilize Lean & DMAIC methodology, tools, and root cause analysis to eliminate waste.
  • Coach, train, and mentor against PCB's overall Continuous Improvement methodology.
  • Partner with fellow Engineers and Corporate CI to apply knowledge to high-priority projects.
  • Develop, maintain, sustain, audit, train, and improve the CI operating system.
  • Drive the deployment of planned improvements against annual targets.
  • Develop and drive the process, system, and forums for best practice sharing.
  • Facilitate and implement the continuous improvement process.
  • Work closely with technical resources to drive efficiencies and develop CI opportunities.
  • Manage a Continuous Improvement docket to prioritize projects and track results.
  • Lead and/or participate on cross-functional Kaizen teams.
  • Monitor data and metrics to identify areas of waste and prioritize solutions.
