This position is responsible for improving processes and efficiency, concentrated in manufacturing. It also includes advancing the lean thinking principles across product sectors and responsible to coach and work with the operations leadership (at all levels) through the lean and six sigma implementation strategy focused on delivering business results and building competency in CI methods. The Continuous improvement department will work with multiple groups in the operations and supply chain areas improve efficiency and implement improvement projects. Over time this will turn into implementation support that will include teaching, mentoring, and execution. This position can be entry level up to a few years of experience and Crider will provide mentoring and training. Overall, the continuous improvement area will assist in developing a lean support team within the operational units to ensure that the strategy identifies business opportunities and delivers results. As such, the Continuous improvement area will be responsible to communicate the goals and objectives of the lean activities and to provide a system for measurement of results of lean and six sigma activities on an ongoing basis.
