Requirements

  • 4-year degree in a relevant area (Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering degrees are a plus)
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive manufacturing or engineering experience combined with relevant technical experience.
  • Must be willing to commit to entering ASQ certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (at company's expense)
  • Proficient computer skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet & e-mail (Minitab experience a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Lead improvement projects.
  • Leadership for the identification and implementation of CI events, tools, methods, process, and other opportunities throughout Operations to meet and sustain operational goals through standard work.
  • Lead & develop others in our improvement process and formal problem solving at plant level
  • Identifies and implements enhancements for Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and employee work life by studying process requirements through researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
  • Applies statistical methods and performs system/product/process analysis.
  • Assures product and process quality by validating testing methods, reviewing finished- product and process capabilities, establishing standards, and confirming manufacturing processes.
  • Evaluates, improves and documents manufacturing processes.
  • Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities and other considerations to facilitate improvements to processes.
  • Works with Production and Operations Leadership as an effective team facilitator or team member to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Would assume coaching and development responsibilities for plant's Lean Six Sigma program to help improve team's bench strength through the promotion of Lean Six Sigma methodology.
  • Minimal travel between facilities is required / overnight travel would be rare.
  • Responsible use of the Internet and Confidentiality is required for all work.
  • Duties and responsibilities will require occasional work outside the regularly scheduled work hours.
