About The Position
The essential functions of this position while meeting or exceeding annual goals and objectives are as follows: Work very closely with the production team members to listen, understand and improve from their perspective. They do the job every day. Listen to them and solve their problems. Lead in creating an efficient environment that focuses on zero defects. Analyze systems and processes and implement value stream mapping. Facilitate and assist in the development of new streamlining strategies for efficiency. Identify areas needing to be maximized; inventory purchasing, manufacturing downtime, potential uses for manufacturing scrap, time management, and other opportunities for improvement. Develop strategies to maximize development process of new products and prototypes. Facilitate communication with other departments to innovate systems of efficiency and improvement.
