Responsible for leading efforts within the facility to make process improvements consistent with leaner manufacturing flow. Must be a change agent that can teach and lead others through continuous improvement actions while keeping customer satisfaction in mind. Local authority on ZFPS and lean initiatives. Requirements

  • BS in Engineering, Business Administration, Management, Operations Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of six or more years related to lean manufacturing experience.
  • Demonstrated problem resolution skills i.e., 8D, 5P, 5-why etc.
  • Ability to drive change and influence others.
  • Proficient with various software packages, such as MS Office.
  • Understand when and how to use various statistical tools.
  • Ability to work outside normal core hours to meet company demands.

Nice To Haves

  • Blackbelt preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and communicate kaizen workshops and other lean activities throughout the plant.
  • Support the plant manager in leading the ZFPS, lean initiatives and operational excellence.
  • Represents the plant internally and externally regarding ZFPS, lean initiatives and operational excellence.
  • Complete high impact/high priority projects that support plant cost reduction efforts.
  • Lead cross functional improvement teams to drive significant productivity savings.
  • Champion and/or participate in Quality related activities. Including, Corrective Action Reports (CAR), containments, inspections and sorting, 11 Colors and other related efforts to improve and manage quality.
  • Industrial Engineering functions including Plant Layout, Output Confirmation, etc.
  • Nonconforming Material Management including trend identification, root cause/countermeasure, scrap improvement/FPY.
