About The Position

Grant Thornton is seeking a CPE Compliance Senior Associate to join the team. Approved office locations can be found below. The Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Compliance Senior Associate is responsible for ensuring compliance with firm policies and regulatory standards related to CPE/CPD, learning events, and CPE processing. This includes improvement to operational systems, processes and policies to reduce compliance risk and improve operational efficiencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in management, business or related field or equivalent experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in learning and/or CPE compliance QC, monitoring and reporting
  • Understanding of rules and regulations around continuing education for professional accounting firms.
  • Experience producing and implementing policies, processes, and procedures
  • Computer Skills: MS Office and web-based software.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, timelines and resources to successfully execute a defined project and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Oversees CPE Learning support team using expert level knowledge to ensure proper training of NASBA/PCAOB compliance standards, & firm compliance policies.
  • Supervises and trains INDUS based CPE processors.
  • Maintains a strong understanding of NASBA standards and provides input on any proposed or pending changes on behalf of Grant Thornton.
  • Works collaboratively with clients to consult on learning compliance questions, to address compliance concerns and to develop policies, procedures, and training, as necessary.
  • Manages the annual NASBA sponsorship and works directly with NASBA to address inquiries related to programs, and internal and external completions.
  • Has awareness of pending changes to state regulators to determine impacts to internal policies and processes.
  • Ensures that all CPE worthy learning solutions comply with NASBA, PCAOB and other governing and regulatory body requirements.
  • Processes CPE credit for internal and external training events.
  • Provides QA support to clients and compliance teams with material reviews, regulatory questions, legal and peer review audits and other support as needed.
  • Monitors consistent enforcement and ongoing effectiveness of the CPE compliance function and proposes recommended solutions for improvement.
  • Oversees and responds to client communications related to CPE and general national marketing event inquiries.
  • Manages relationship with Marketing & Sales on webcasts including process development, program review for compliance as well as management of SharePoint NASBA documents archive for all events.
  • Acts as back up to building events on the virtual learning platforms.
  • Collaborates with clients on correct NASBA compliance methodologies (All delivery methods and firm branding).
  • Manages selected projects including scheduling meetings, creating project plans, monitoring tasks, timelines and resources to meet project objectives and deadlines.
  • Builds internal links for virtual events to streamline registration processes.
  • Maintains the Grant Thornton compliance inbox and ensures all training events are assigned for processing. Also manages customer service answering questions and providing guidance related to NASBA/PCAOB and state regulators.
  • Assists with yearly CPE tracking and reporting process.
  • Prepares and distributes requisite reports regarding compliance metrics, and tailoring reports to a variety of target audiences.
  • Oversees evaluation program ensuring distribution is performed to meet NASBA standards of ensuring programs are consistently improving.
  • Assists with the implementation and tracking of compliance programs.
  • Serves as internal firm main point of contact for NASBA quality control across all delivery methods.
  • Coordinates and provides support to promote positive business impact and the Grant Thornton brand.
  • Builds and maintains relationships and leads efforts to educate colleagues, internal stakeholders, external clients and prospects on CPE related standards, processes and tools.
  • Conducts process mapping and development, documentation and communication related to NASBA sponsorship.
  • Manages customer support for specific Grant Thornton University (GTU) LMS related questions received in GTU or CPE mailboxes.
  • Manages relationships with self-study vendors including the organization of determining new content and refreshing GTU LMS of same.
  • Maintains vendor relations acting as liaison with CPE reporting vendor, in support of changing needs determined by compliance Associate Director.
  • Serves as main knowledge manager (KM) for all compliance related pages on firm Intranet (Canvas).
