NIACC Continuing Education is seeking enthusiastic, knowledgeable instructors for a variety of different classes. The position involves teaching short-term certificate programs in career areas such as welding, manufacturing, human services, and construction. Additionally, instructors will teach health-related classes including phlebotomy, basic life support, and continuing training for health professionals. Note that those interested in teaching CNA and EMT courses must complete the Adjunct Pool - Career & Technical Education application. Other areas of instruction include DiscoverU classes related to personal interests such as arts/crafts, wellness, or recreation, as well as professional development courses that cover technology training, supervising and leading others, or special certifications. Instructors will also teach Adult Education & Literacy classes, which include High School Equivalency Diploma preparation, basic skills instruction (math, reading, computer literacy), and English as a Second Language. Career readiness classes focusing on job interviews, effective communication, and networking are also part of the curriculum.
