About The Position

RISD Continuing Education instructors plan, organize, teach, and provide feedback to promote and direct student learning in keeping with the institutional learning-centered values and in a manner that meets the essential competencies of an artist and designer. We are looking for instructors whose specialty is in Figma for graphic design. Figma is a sophisticated digital tool that can be used in graphic design to create digital assets such as social media graphics and branding. Figma’s user-friendly interface offers powerful vector tools in a collaborative workspace, positioning it as a competitor to industry-standard tools such as the Adobe Creative Suite. The successful candidate for this role will need to teach adults how to learn and utilize Figma and its tools to produce visually compelling graphics and polished, functional prototypes through a series of Figma-based projects involving brainstorming, sketching, layouts, and iteration.
