The Organization GM is undergoing a major transformation, both in how we operate and in how we will influence the future of mobility with automation and electric vehicles. Our Contingent Workforce Management team empowers GM’s growth and success by providing the best contingent talent, efficiently and cost effectively. As the Contingent Workforce Manager, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for GM’s contingent workforce program. You will be responsible for driving program adoption and mitigating the risk of worker misclassification. Success in this role will be demonstrated by expanding program usage, implementing innovative solutions, and supporting the business in leveraging contingent talent strategically. You will also lead the charge on analyzing and overseeing program performance including the service levels provided by the Managed Service Provider (“MSP”), working with key business function stakeholders, while maintaining alignment with evolving business priorities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with an MSP, will possess a deep understanding of contingent workforce best practices, and relevant labor laws. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and operational expert, capable of translating business objectives into scalable, effective contingent workforce solutions. They are adept at leveraging data and technology to provide insights and drive decision-making to continuously improve program outcomes. This is a cross-functional leadership role, requiring exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
