The Registered Nurse position is part of the Emergency Department and is a contingent position working approximately 12 hours per two-week pay period. This position works varied hours and may require weekend rotation and holiday coverage as needed. This RN provides high-quality, patient-centered care in the Emergency Department while also supporting other departments as needed. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current Ohio RN license required
  • ACLS, NRP, TNCC, and PALS certifications required
  • Ability to recognize and interpret electrocardiographic information
  • Knowledge and experience managing ventilator patients
  • Skilled in setting up and assisting with invasive procedures
  • Demonstrates initiative, enthusiasm, and professionalism
  • Strong communication skills, independent thinking, and commitment to patient-centered care
  • Focused on customer service, teamwork, and confidentiality

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of hospital critical care or Emergency Department experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department and assist other departments as assigned
  • Assess patient needs, plan and coordinate care, and evaluate outcomes efficiently and safely
  • Facilitate collaboration among interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Adhere to all nursing standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Promote patient advocacy, safety, and improved health outcomes
  • Support teamwork with physicians and other personnel to maintain high-quality care
