The Estimator position at BELFOR is a critical role within the Estimating track, responsible for creating and managing estimates across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. This position requires interaction with clients, particularly insurance adjusters, to develop competitive estimates using Xactimate software, manage projects through completion, and ensure effective communication regarding budgets and progress. The role emphasizes adherence to building codes and company standards while fostering client relationships.

Establish and maintain local area clientele, primarily insurance adjusters and community business owners.
Create accurate floor plans using Xactimate Sketch.
Demonstrate knowledge of applicable building codes and adhere to budgets, addressing overages as necessary.
Use BELFOR naming conventions for estimates, proposals, and change orders.
Maintain a construction schedule and collaborate with trades and management to ensure timely project completion.
Identify and present solutions for additional resource needs.
Demonstrate proficiency in various construction and mitigation techniques.
Participate in continued training with BELFOR University for Xactimate certification preparation.
Independently manage work and maintain vehicle safety and cleanliness.
Complete accident, injury, and incident reporting forms in a timely manner.

Develop and maintain a client book of business based on Estimator level requirements.
Serve as the primary contact for owners, adjusters, and consultants.
Scope development, negotiation, and agreements with customers.
Coordinate after-hours emergency services as directed.
Identify potential site hazards such as asbestos and lead paint.
Conduct oneself professionally and courteously at all times.
Apply industry TPA Program standards and ensure compliance.
Comprehensive understanding of customer service principles and practices.
Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines.
Attention to detail and safeguarding of property and information.

Extensive customer service experience.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience with Xactimate.

Participation in BELFOR sponsored operations and safety training courses.
