ABC Owned Television Stations is seeking a strong candidate for the role of Content Systems Engineer. This full-time role is hands on and is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting mission critical media systems supporting various departments across the enterprise, primarily media production.

  • designing, implementing, and supporting mission critical media systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Broadcast Engineering, or related field or equivalent years of work experience
  • 5 years of broadcast/post production engineering experience
  • Advanced knowledge of media workflow and orchestration systems such as Telestream Vantage, IBM Aspera, Dalet Galaxy, etc.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Python, PowerShell, or other programming languages
  • Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, and AWS media services)
  • Knowledge of on-premises Virtualization & Storage solutions (VMware, NetApp Storage, Dell EMC Isilon, etc.)
  • Familiarity with broadcast hardware (encoders, decoders, video routers, etc.)
  • Understanding of live video transport protocols (SRT, RTMP, RTSP, NDI, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Post Production workflows (transcoding, archiving, etc.) including non-linear editing, VFX and motion graphics software (Adobe Creative Suite [After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro], Maxon CINEMA 4D, DaVinci Resolve, etc.)
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, with the ability to multitask and quickly adapt to changing requirements
  • Ability to work early mornings, late nights, holidays, and weekends as needed for outages and/or maintenance windows, and participate in the department's on-call rotation
  • Project management experience
