About The Position
Ramapo College of New Jersey seeks a creative and enthusiastic content specialist to join our Communications and Public Relations (OCPR) team. This team member plays an active role in telling the story of Ramapo College. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, writing and/or tailoring compelling and engaging content for various communications/PR and marketing channels. The candidate will have a keen ability to identify and write about newsworthy opportunities by partnering with campus community members and staying apprised of and anticipating current events, draft news releases, and prepare pitches for media outlets. In this role, the communications specialist will work independently on projects prioritized by the director of communications and public relations and will collaborate with colleagues across cores and units to bring those projects to fruition. This role will support the College's strategic, communications, and enrollment/marketing plans. It will utilize the College's branding strategies, language, and standards by developing engaging content tailored for target audiences that highlights our achievements, programs, trajectory, and community impact to raise the visibility and reputation of Ramapo College.
