About The Position

As the Content QA Manager, you are the final quality gate between concept and production for all deliverables. You lead the proofreading function and ensure that print and digital materials are accurate, error-free, and aligned to the brief needs. You’ll partner closely with Design & Creative, Client Relations, Studio Operations, and brand teams to uphold content integrity across print and digital. This role partners with the Merchandising Sourcing & Execution workflow and adds technical QA + traffic readiness checks to the traditional proofing craft.

Requirements

  • Experience: 4+ years in agency with experience in leadership; prior experience leading proofing/QA in a creative or production environment (in-house or external).
  • Proofing expertise: Mastery of grammar, syntax, and AP/Chicago conventions; comfortable with soft and hard-copy proofing.
  • Brief and brand fluency: Ability to translate briefs into QA criteria; switch tone and formatting across multiple Inspire brands.
  • Technical acumen: Familiarity with preflight practices, packaged files, and common production specs; able to collaborate with production artists to diagnose issues.
  • Operational rigor: Skilled in queue management, scheduling, and traffic handoffs; builds simple, repeatable processes.
  • People leadership: Coaches proofreaders, sets clear expectations and SLAs, and fosters a culture of accuracy and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Content QA leadership: Build and run a high-performing proofing practice that reviews content for spelling, punctuation, grammar, tone, and brand style; elevate standards and resolve inconsistencies across brands.
  • Brief vs output alignment: Validate that final dimensions, copy, layouts meet the approved brief, offers, SKUs, timelines, legal, and brand requirements; close gaps before release.
  • Final-content traffic readiness: Own the 'ready-to-route' gate—confirm assets meet specifications, naming/taxonomy, versioning, and packaging rules so Studio Ops can traffic with confidence.
  • Technical QA: Partner with production artists to verify linked assets, preflight checks, color profiles, dielines, and output settings; flag issues and drive corrective actions. QA in platforms like Smartsheets, Paytronix, and Figma.
  • Digital QA & readiness: Oversee digital deliverables to ensure all online assets are thoroughly tested for functionality, accessibility, responsiveness, and compliance with platform and brand standards prior to deployment.
  • Team management: Manage a team of proofreaders, build schedules, run workloads, and set quality SLAs; facilitate weekly 1:1s and skills development plans.
  • Workflow & tools stewardship: Collaborate with Client Relations, Creative Services, and Studio Ops to refine Workfront templates, QA checklists, style guides, and The Vault taxonomy to reduce rework and speed time-to-market.
  • Cross-brand consistency: Ensure tone, formatting, and offer details are correct across multiple brands; coordinate with creative and brand partners to resolve questions quickly.
