About The Position

The Content Producer Intern will play a supporting role with Studio, Vodcast, & Magazine Show Producers to aid in the creation of high-quality content for Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Penguins, as well as shoulder programming SportsNet Pittsburgh social media. This is a 20-24 hour per week internship, paying $10 per hour. NESN (New England Sports Network) is owned by Fenway Sports Group, which also owns the Boston Red Sox and Pittsburgh Penguins among other holdings, and Delaware North, owners of the Boston Bruins. NESN is delivered throughout the six-state New England region and nationally as NESN National. The definitive source for New England sports programming, NESN consistently has been one of the top-rated regional sports networks in the country, with a reputation for innovative and award-winning production of sports events and specials. As of 2023, NESN manages SportsNet Pittsburgh, a newly branded regional sports network that televises Pittsburgh Penguins and Pirates games, as well as local college sports, original content and more in PA, WV, and portions of MD, OH and NY. Requirements

  • Interest and knowledge in editing on Adobe Premiere
  • Interest and knowledge about the various aspects of video/content production.
  • Active and in-depth knowledge of Pittsburgh sports landscape, especially the Pirates and Penguins
  • Intricate internet research skills.
  • Ability to potentially work nights and weekend

Nice To Haves

  • Adobe After Effects & Photoshop experience a plus
  • Podcast and social media experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist Studio Producers & Content Producers with Vodcast, Magazine shows, and Live Studio Productions by:
  • Providing additional research (statistics, video, photos, logging sound)
  • Writing
  • Creating & developing linear and digital content ideas
  • Potentially earn the opportunity to produce Vodcast, Magazine or Live Studio Show
  • Edit short & long-form videos for YouTube and social media.
  • Assist with YouTube & Social Livestreams (Press Conferences, Alt Casts, etc.)
  • Assist in building a database of "This date in history" videos for social media & YouTube.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and required.
