The Content Optimization Specialist is responsible for improving website content performance through search engine optimization (SEO), Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), content design and structure, layout optimization, and conversion-focused messaging. This role ensures that website content is discoverable across both traditional search engines and AI-driven discovery platforms, while remaining clear, well-organized, and aligned with user goals and business objectives such as registrations, inquiries, downloads, and membership engagement. This position focuses on optimizing existing and new content for search visibility, user engagement, and conversion performance. This includes structured data implementation, Core Web Vitals coordination, and adapting content strategy as search technology evolves. While the role does not primarily own core web infrastructure, the ideal candidate can suggest and, when skillsets allow, directly implement technical improvements that enhance content effectiveness. The Content Optimization Specialist works at the intersection of Digital Solutions, Marketing, and client teams to implement and manage content improvement campaigns, manage internal content update requests, communicate visual and structural recommendations, and ensure content quality and consistency across client websites. The ideal candidate combines SEO/AEO/GEO expertise with strong editorial judgment, and understands how content organization and messaging influence user behavior.
