About The Position

We are seeking a Content & Documentation Intern to join our team in Colorado Springs. This internship provides an opportunity for a detail-oriented student to gain hands-on experience in technical documentation, content development, and employee knowledge management. The intern will support efforts to organize and document specialized laboratory equipment. This includes gathering information from the manufacturer and internal subject matter experts, creating and documentation within internal systems, and helping ensure that lab procedures and maintenance information are clearly documented and accessible. In addition to documentation work, the intern may assist with broader content development initiatives such as updating templates, supporting branding updates, formatting internal documents, and contributing to internal communications content.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field, such as communications, English, technical writing, engineering, or information systems
• Strong writing skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work onsite and in person at our Colorado Springs office

Nice To Haves

• Interest in technical writing or documentation management
• Experience editing or formatting documents
• Interest in engineering, laboratory, or technical environments

Responsibilities

• Gather and organize documentation related to specialized laboratory equipment and processes
• Create and maintain maintenance instructions and operational documentation within Jira and Confluence
• Collaborate with engineers and lab staff to document procedures and best practices
• Support rebranding efforts by updating templates and formatting internal documents
• Draft internal content such as staff profiles or internal communications
• Participate in various lab support tasks as needed
• Assist with additional content development and documentation projects as assigned
