About The Position

Our next content designer can of course create clear, intentional and actionable UI text (that’s a given), and we really want someone who thinks like a designer. This is a mid-level role: you have solid UX writing and/or content design experience, and you pride yourself on always making intentional content choices. You consistently consider page hierarchy, user goals, IA, research findings, experience flow, business needs, and more.

Requirements

• 2-4 years in content design, UX writing, or content strategy, ideally with experience in SaaS or complex digital products
• A portfolio showcasing user-centered content design work
• Experience working closely with product designers, engineers, and researchers to shape the user experience
• Strong writing skills: clear, concise, and adaptable to different tones and contexts
• Strong design thinking skills
• Comfortable balancing quick, tactical deliverables in addition to contributions to long-term content strategies
• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve workflows, enhance decision-making, or drive innovation.

Responsibilities

• Iterate regularly with PM, product designers, engineers, and researchers to improve the content experience in our product
• Help your collaborators define design problems and wrangle complexities with a content lens
• Embrace relationships with other content-focused disciplines like Marketing and Customer Education
• Inspire content design superfans across the company
• Showcase content design’s impact with regular collaborators as well as senior stakeholders (show up and show off!)
• Help scale the 8am content design discipline by contributing to our style guide and design system
• Share your toolbox: lead content design exercises to inspire design iterations and align teams
• Focus on accountant, case management, and AI experiences
• Lead and shape the content design strategy for accountant and fintech users
• Support content design work for practice management experiences
• Potentially assist in AI and agentic workflows as emerging technologies evolve at 8am
• Jam out with your cross-functional colleagues
