About the position

The Content Creator is a key member of the visual storytelling team at Killington Resort and Pico Mountain. The successful candidate will shoot, edit and produce innovative, on-brand video and still photo content for a variety of marketing and communications needs. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Creative Services Manager and the Communications team to create quality content that connects and resonates with guests but also helps drive revenue growth. Alongside strong photo/video skills, flexibility, a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills are crucial for success.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating developing photo and video content for Killington Resort and Pico Mountain from conception to completion.
  • Deliver new content multiple times per week to assist in the promotion of Killington Resort and Pico Mountain on social media, in advertising campaigns and in on-resort collateral.
  • Work closely with Creative Services Manager to develop long-form storytelling pieces to be produced regularly.
  • Work closely with third party creative agency to execute on-brand video assets.
  • Manage internal shoot logistics such as coordinating models and locations.
  • Work under the direction of the Creative Services Manager in creating scripts, shot lists and the creative vision of video and photo shoots based on campaign objectives.
  • Work with Creative Services Manager in completing video assets for advertising campaigns.
  • Assist in organizing Killington's digital asset management system, keeping assets current and available to stakeholders.
  • Assist in maintaining current website photo and video galleries at the request of the Digital Marketing Team.
  • Be willing and able to work guest facing and customer service roles during busy periods.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in videography and photography.
  • A strong portfolio featuring past photo and video projects, action sports/outdoor industry experience required.
  • Familiarity with skiing and snowboarding is a must.
  • A skier or snowboarder of advanced ability level.
  • Expert in Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Expert in using various types of camera equipment including mirrorless cameras, action cameras, drones and GoPro.
  • Able to multi-task effectively and produce completed projects in a timely manner.
  • Excellent time management and able to prioritize with flexibility.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Killington Resort and Pico Mountain is a plus.
  • Mountain biking experience is also a plus.
  • FAA drone license a plus or drone experience with the interest and ability to get your drone license upon being hired.
