About The Position

Khan Academy is seeking an experienced Secondary Math Content Creator for a fixed-term position of 24 months. The role involves creating high-quality, standards-aligned math lessons to empower students and improve their learning outcomes. The Content Creator will collaborate with the content team and external contributors to develop and curate engaging educational materials, ensuring they meet the needs of diverse learners.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of content development experience in secondary Math subjects, focusing on Algebra 2, Precalculus, Calculus, and AP math courses.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching/tutoring experience.
• Experience in developing math content in an edtech environment is a plus.
• Ability to work with multiple standards sets (e.g., CCSS, State Standards) for course development and curation.
• Desire to teach at scale and engage with a broad array of learners.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize critical metrics.
• Project management skills and proficiency with Google Docs and spreadsheets.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in edtech developing math content.
• Experience leading collaborative work on time-sensitive projects.

Responsibilities

• Work with the content team to expand Math courses using market research and subject matter expertise.
• Develop course scopes and sequences, including units, lessons, and content assets.
• Create and curate high-quality content on schedule, including exercises and articles, and script engaging lesson videos.
• Accountable for content from contractors and third parties used in course development.
• Track performance and usage of content in assigned courses.
• Leverage analytics and community features to attract and retain learners.
• Learn and use the content management system to improve and build courses.
• Act as an editorial expert by reviewing new content and maintaining existing content.
• Contribute to the long-term strategic direction of content efforts.
