FOX13 Memphis is looking for a Content Center Creator to work with our team of journalists!

Our Content Center Creator works with our Assignment Desk and digital content on all platforms. Help set the editorial agenda in the Mid-South by shaping the journalism at the area’s real #1 news station.

Requirements

• Degree in journalism, broadcasting, or related field
• Understanding of AP-style writing
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Must be thoroughly professional in all aspects of journalism
• Thorough understanding of our crime filter and comprehension of ethical journalism

Nice To Haves

• Prior newsroom experience is a plus
• Knowledge of the Memphis market is a plus

Responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics for all crews in the field
• Prioritize and execute coverage of breaking news
• Formulate contacts and resources to uncover enterprise journalism
• Work to confirm stories
• Write and create content on all FOX13 digital platforms
• Stay up to date on evolving journalism trends and tactics
• Understand our research and our community to prioritize the stories we cover
• Manage feeds going into all newscasts
• Plan ahead to build tomorrow’s newscast today
• Build coverage plans for major events and significant stories
• Cultivate content constantly!
