About The Position

The Dispatch Lead is responsible for overseeing dispatch and office staff to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. This role involves directing daily operations, managing projects, and providing training to dispatchers while maintaining high customer service standards.

• Prior supervisory experience.
• Good customer service skills to meet and exceed customer expectations.

• Proficient in navigating computer systems using different platforms.
• Good time management skills to ensure responsibilities are completed efficiently and safely.
• Strong follow-through on work schedule and challenges.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and performs various tasks to support operations, including dispatch, timekeeping, customer service, and data entry.
• Provides direction to dispatchers and other office staff.
• Completes assigned special projects as directed by the Operations Manager or General Manager.
• Fills in for dispatchers during vacations and assigns work to the dispatch team.
• Conducts dispatch training.
• Acts as the primary point of contact for dispatchers requiring assistance and guidance in resolving issues.
• Monitors and evaluates all assigned routes and miscellaneous requirements.
• Partners with the Operations team to resolve customer service issues.
• Keeps attendance records for all workers and gives verbal and written warnings when necessary.
• Assists with route audits, reroutes, and hazard assessments as needed.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
