Techniplas has long-term relationships with many of the world’s leading automotive and industrial OEMs. SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Container Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing all returnable and expendable container operations, including inventory accuracy, fleet maintenance, container tracking systems, audits, scheduling, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure uninterrupted production flow.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in returnable container or packaging management.
  • Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain roles required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and business intelligence tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional environments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily container inventories, monitor days-of-supply, and adjust processes to sustain production requirements.
  • Coordinate with production planning to ensure appropriate container quantities are available for all build schedules.
  • Oversee incoming and outgoing returnable containers, including receipt validation and CMS (Container Management System) updates.
  • Audit container usage within the facility to ensure compliance with customer and internal standards.
  • Maintain container fleet health by coordinating repairs, replacements, cleaning cycles, and preventative maintenance.
  • Request and schedule container shipments or pickups to maintain required inventory levels.
  • Perform physical stock-taking and accurately record balances in CMS.
  • Lead root cause analysis for container-related issues and facilitate resolution meetings.
  • Process reconciliations, complaints, expendable-use requests, and customer-required documentation.
  • Support logistics areas such as shipping, receiving, and line support when needed.
  • Develop and implement SOPs for container handling, storage, tracking, and maintenance.
  • Identify cost-reduction opportunities and drive continuous improvement in container operations.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all returnable container management processes.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
