About The Position

ECS is seeking a Container Engineer to work in Mechanicsburg, PA.     We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Kubernetes Container Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable Kubernetes infrastructures across environments. They will collaborate with mission software teams to containerize applications and deploy them on Kubernetes, and optimize Kubernetes cluster performance, resource utilization, and cost-effectiveness.  Will assist Automation and DSO teams with capabilities to support container deployments, sustainment, and cyber requirements.   Additionally, individual will assist/work to ensure all efforts comply with RAISE 2.0 guidance and help NAG DSO become Raised Platform of Choice certified.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Information Assurance Technical II (IAT-2) qualification
  • Secret Clearance eligibility, Top Secret preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in the following areas:
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux-Unix systems and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Expertise in AWS container services (Amazon ECS, ECR, and Fargate)
  • Expertise with hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitLab, CI/CD, etc.)
  • Extensive experience writing and managing YAML configurations for Kubernetes, CI/CD, and automation workflows
  • Hands-on experience supporting containerized deployments for both GOTS and COTS applications
  • Familiarity with RAISE 2.0 guidance and the certification process for becoming a Raised Platform of Choice
  • Expertise with hands-on experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
  • Proficiency in integrating with DoD cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or hybrid environments)
  • Strong understanding of secure software development practices, vulnerability management, and incident report
  • Experience maintaining zero-trust architectures, identity management, and encryption solutions
  • Strong scripting and automation skills in Bash, Python, or PowerShell
  • Experience with FedRAMP, FISMA, DoD CC SRG, or other government cloud compliance requirements
