Position Summary: The Container Driver is responsible for safely operating a heavy-duty truck to deliver/remove permanent trash/cardboard dumpsters and service temporary construction dumpsters. This position is responsible for efficiently servicing assigned customers while complying with local, state, and federal transportation regulations and with Company policies.

Requirements

  • Appropriate Driver's License
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Able to meet all DOT requirements.
  • DOT Med Card
  • Basic mechanical knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Driving safely and efficiently to complete assigned routes accurately and on time.
  • Service, clean, and maintain dumpsters.
  • Empty vehicle at the disposal site
  • Stay in radio contact with and respond to requests from the Dispatcher.
  • Participate in all required Company meetings, including weekly safety meetings.
  • Assist other Drivers with Routes when directed.
  • Pre and post-trip inspection and report
  • Complete route work
  • Work all assigned shifts from the scheduled start time to the scheduled end time.
  • Take an active role in the improvement of safety and health in the workplace.
  • Receive complaints from customers and report issues with problems professionally to Dispatch.
  • Maintains reasonable, regular, and punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Adapts to changing duties, as required, based on business needs.
