Container Delivery Driver
About The Position
Coastal Waste & Recycling is seeking a dedicated Container Delivery Driver to join our team! Your Role As a Container Delivery Driver, you will play a key role in ensuring our containers are safely transported, repaired, and maintained for reliable use in the field. This position requires strong driving skills, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Previous experience driving roll-off, flatbed, or container maintenance trucks preferred.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs+ and sit for extended periods.
- Full-time schedule (40+ hours per week, overtime available).
Nice To Haves
- Basic mechanical or welding skills a plus.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a CDL Class B vehicle to transport containers between sites and
- Assist with container delivery, pick-up, and repair as scheduled by dispatch.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on containers (e.g., welding patches, repainting, lid replacement).
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and equipment readiness.
- Maintain accurate logs, inspection sheets, and repair records.
- Report equipment or road issues to dispatch and maintenance teams.
- Follow all DOT, safety, and environmental compliance guidelines.
- Uphold Coastal’s standard of exceptional customer service and professionalism on every route.
