About The Position

The Consumer Underwriter position at Ally Financial involves evaluating and decisioning consumer offerings within ALLY underwriting policies. Requirements

• 1+ years in auto finance consumer underwriting required (prime, sub-prime, and/or non-prime).
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Excellent sales, negotiation, problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Self-starter with a high level of productivity and sense of ownership.
• Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge to new situations.
• Familiarity with the Auto Finance industry, consumer credit, and trend analysis/analytics.

Responsibilities

• Maximize portfolio revenue by practicing sound underwriting judgement and risk management principles.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting policies; evaluate risk issues, and stay abreast of constant changes in policy and procedures.
• Manage a portfolio of dealers and grow the business.
