Job Summary: Reviews loan documents and appropriate decisions auto, personal, credit card and home equity lines of credit applications, by assessing financial risk, analyzing data, reviewing borrower’s creditworthiness, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations, while making critical loan underwriting decisions. Essential Job Duties: Performs all duties of a level 1 Consumer Underwriter. Assesses and analyzes borrower's financial profiles, including credit history, income stability, debt-to-income ratios, loan to value ratio, assets, real estate appraisal, title reports, home insurance policies and other relevant information. Supports and responds to questions from Consumer Underwriter 1 Escalates loan file with recommendation that exceed individual lending authority and/or of high complexity and associated risks to a Consumer Underwriter 3, 4 or Supervisor. Participates in company lending seminars Performs other duties as assigned.
