About The Position
The Consumer Safety Inspector position is responsible for ensuring that regulated establishments produce safe products by executing appropriate inspection methods, determining non-compliance with regulatory requirements, documenting non-compliance, and initiating enforcement actions when warranted. The job may require occasional travel up to 75% and employees may be detailed to any shift at any plant within the specific district for which the selection has been made. This position is open for applications from 05/09/2025 to 05/22/2025, with a salary range of $40,332 - $79,443 per year, determined by the duty location of the selectee. The position is permanent, full-time, and has a promotion potential to GS-9.
