About The Position

The Consumer/Mortgage Loan Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Consumer and Mortgage Loan Production teams. This role is responsible for managing loan-related documentation, title and lien processing, escrow activities, reporting, and audit support while ensuring strict compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. By maintaining accuracy, organization, and timely follow-through, this position helps support efficient loan operations and First Farmers Bank & Trust’s commitment to exceptional service and strong community relationships.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in business, finance, or a related field
  • 1+ year of experience in consumer and mortgage lending
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to problem solve
  • Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Consumer Title Clerk
  • Monitor all new titled vehicle loans to ensure that FFBT receives the title and our lien is perfected
  • Contact branch staff about title issues
  • Send letters to customers requesting the title to vehicle
  • Call customer to follow up letter when needed
  • DDI (Electronic lien and title vendor) Admin
  • Process daily titles and ensure that they are on the title log
  • Process title releases
  • Process insurance claims
  • Prepare extension agreements
  • Send HELOC credit freeze letters
  • Pull various reports to support consumer and mortgage
  • Pull documentation for audits
  • Ability to take Consumer & HELOC applications
  • Process paid notes and help with consumer and HELOC audits
  • Escrow reviews
  • Pull and organize reports for board presentations
  • Prepare Escrow Analysis for changes
  • Submit Freddie & FHLBI audits
  • Prepare mortgage recast, modification, & recast documents
  • All other job duties as assigned
