Position Summary The Consumer Lending Processor will be responsible for reviewing, funding, and completing all Consumer Loan Applications. Job responsibilities primarily include conducting quality assurance audits and completing after-funding job functions. These job responsibilities are completed by verifying that critical loan documents are ready and complete prior to funding. In addition to ensuring that after funding, documentation is submitted and completed with cross-functional departments.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Wellby’s organizational functions, and general operating policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of consumer lending regulations
  • Knowledge of secretarial practices and procedures, business English, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Knowledge of personal computer, utilizing Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge for all Home Equity, Home Equity Line of Credit, Consumer Line of Credit, and Consumer Closed End loans.
  • Skilled in operating computer equipment and general office machines such as personal computers, copiers, projection equipment, audio/video, Microsoft Teams, Zoom Video Communications, and adding machines.
  • Ability to interpret regulations affecting the Credit Union
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Ability to work effectively across organizational departments and functions to achieve strategic goals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to motivate others and to work in a large cross-functional team dynamic.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum one (1) – three (3) years of experience working in lending or banking-related roles
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, administrative, multitasking, and organizational skills are required.
  • May be required to work on Saturdays.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts quality assurance audits prior to funding to ensure completeness and accuracy for consumer real estate and non-real estate documentation.
  • Helps support cross-functional departments by guiding and directing lending operations in relation to consumer loan funding.
  • Coordinates with member and retail partners to obtain the necessary documentation for loan closing and if necessary, post funding documentation.
  • Manages incoming inquiries related to consumer loan operations received through various channels.
  • Demonstrate sound decision-making skills when adding dealerships to our rolodex.
  • Ensure post-funding documentation for all consumer real estate and non-real estate documents is submitted to cross-functional departments and completed.
  • After funding, documentation includes but is not limited to proof of insurance, ACH forms, UCC1, dealer drafting instructions, balance transfers, check printing, etc.
  • Disburse and advance all consumer real estate and non-real estate loan proceeds.
  • Print documentation and prepare all payoff checks to the issuer on the loan agreement.
  • Process Vehicle Titles, Registration, and Plates in accordance with state guidelines
  • Obtain, complete, and process accurate title work documentation for the purpose of lien perfection.
  • Conducts title investigation to help provide a resolution to missing or incorrect title paperwork.
  • Review and process incoming dealer draft payments efficiently.
  • Is able to sort, log, and disburse daily applications evenly amongst the team.
  • Handles and resolves all incoming inquiries courteously and professionally.
  • Demonstrates a team player with a positive attitude within the department and across the credit union.
  • Identifies department needs and suggests proper process improvement or training to meet those needs.
  • Participate and facilitate ongoing training to provide operational support on current processes.
  • Completes various loan projects, system testing, internal WIKI updates, and training as assigned.
  • Ensure appropriate policies, procedures, and guidelines are being followed.
  • Attention to detail and work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Refers to problems that are beyond their authority to their manager, along with their recommendations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
