About The Position

Guides and directs all lending activities including consumer loan production, loan underwriting and loan quality. Must be able to develop a vision for KALSEE’s Consumer Lending Department and execute that vision by developing and implementing a strategic plan. Responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the consumer loan department, including compliance with relevant state and federal laws. Effectively lead and coach team while displaying KALSEE values at all times. Must be goal oriented and willing to take an active role in moving KALSEE forward. Serves as Chairman of the Credit Committee.

Requirements

Ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with people, both verbally and in writing.
Aptitude for details and accuracy.
Organizational ability to effectively complete multi-task assignments.
Problem solving skills and decision-making capabilities.
Conduct and dress oneself in a professional and business-like manner.
5-10 years of previous lending and underwriting experience including consumer loans, indirect lending, real estate, credit card, and lines of credit.

Nice To Haves

Bachelors Degree in related coursework preferred.
Previous management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategies that ensure KALSEE meets annual loan growth targets while maintaining acceptable delinquency and charge off ratios.
Continually research and implement process improvements and efficiencies that make KALSEE’s lending practices as member friendly as possible.
Supervise the processing and dispersal of loans to assure compliance with policy and regulations.
Coach and develop lending and non-lending team on identifying good lending opportunities and cross selling other KALSEE products.
Chair Credit Committee meetings, and communicate results to loan officers involved.
Track and evaluate information that ensures high productivity of the lending team.
Keep abreast of current industry trends and competition
Properly manage the interest rates on consumer loan products ensuring KALSEE stays competitive while preserving an acceptable rate spread. Make interest rate change recommendations to the ALCO Committee.
Administer the indirect auto loan program, serving as one of the primary car-dealer contacts.
Develop and maintain KALSEE loan policies including team adherence.
Organize and lead meetings for the lending team as needed.
Prepare and deliver employee reviews within stated deadlines.
Act as loan officer daily as needed.
Do drive-by inspections of homes for home equity loans as needed.
Review all activities for compliance with established policies, procedures and regulations. Regulations include but are not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering / Office of Foreign Assets Control regulations.
Participate in annual training as required by the BSA/OFAC Compliance Officer.
Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO or CLO.
